If you haven’t taken the time to check out Kat Von D’s Esperanza palette yet, now is the time.  Because I’m making you.
This palette is amazingly beautiful.  Just give it a chance!  The colors are so springy, and at first glance some do seem kind of bright, but they’re actually really really wearable and incredibly flattering on all eye colors.  And the pigmentation is on point - they are buttery soft and smooth to blend, not powdery at all.  And do you see that top left shade, Dazzle?  That’s an almost translucent duo-chrome shimmery pan of magic.  You can pop that over the top of ANY eyeshadow and it instantly transforms into some kind of space age pixi dust wonder.
Go to Sephora and touch this, and I bet you’ll fall in love like me!

Get Ready With Me: Quick & Easy Valentine’s Date Night Look

drugstoreprincess:

Ah, Valentine’s Day.  A day for showing your love for one another, for spending copious amounts of money on chocolate and Hallmark cards, and for red, pink, and purple themed makeup.  Hooray!

No matter your stance on V-Day, any beauty lover has to admit that the abundance of Valentine’s Day themed makeup looks all over the interweb is fantastic.  I love pointless holidays for exactly that reason!

Even though Valentine’s isn’t really my “thang”, I do have a  special someone to share the day with.  A few days ago we decided to go out on a romantic adventure (which ended up being chicken fajitas at a sports bar), and I decided to document my “getting ready” process!  I hope you enjoy this little tutorial!

Products Used:

- Too Faced “A Few of My Favorite Things” Eye and Cheek palette ($56, was Limited Edition for holiday.  Try the Chocolate Bar palette instead!)

- Physician’s Formula Eye Booster 2-in-1 Liquid Eyeliner - $8

- Too Faced Lash Injection Mascara - $21

- Esqido False Eyelashes “BFF” - $46

L’Oreal Color Creations Mascaras (LE)
From left to right: Purple Obsession, Blue Rush, and Turquoise Crush.
Sort of disappointed in the purple mascara, since I think is an adorable color, but barely showed up. The other two were pretty pigmented and I loved them! These are just colorful versions of the Voluminous formula, so they performed pretty well.
